Simplifying the experience

Ambit Finance offers a range of DeFi functionality to users, from simple yield creation on stablecoin deposits, to sustainable money market lending and risk-defined portfolio investment strategies - Our challenge was to simplify the experience of depositing & borrowing on the platform, whilst allowing the user to see real-time status of their position (way harder than it sounds if you know anything about DeFi…)

Focussing on user needs rather than the mechanics

We ran some guerilla user tests internally on our prototypes, in order to provide the simplest visualisations of the features the team wanted to build. Clear language, visuals, and an action-oriented design were key here. The next billion users won’t need to know the mechanics of DeFi, but they will need to be able to do what they need with the Apps available to them.

The redesigned borrowing calculator & interface simplifies and makes this information easy for veterans and new users alike. 

We provided the tested prototype to the Ambit team who took the wires to the next level in both Visual Design & Front-End code to produce what is shaping up to be one of the most refreshing DeFi interfaces of the year.
